Home Base: Why Tampa Jobs Are Close to Our Yard
Our trucks start every morning a few minutes from Hillsborough Avenue and the Veterans Expressway. That short drive matters when a limb is resting on a roof in Carrollwood or a laurel oak has split over a driveway in Westchase. We can come out, look at the tree, and give you a free estimate without a long wait for a crew coming from another county.
Being local also means we know what Tampa yards look like: tight lots with overhead power lines in Seminole Heights, brick streets and big canopies around Hyde Park, and newer homes with young oaks and palms in New Tampa. We bring the right machine for each, whether that is a bucket truck, a compact track loader or just climbers with chainsaws.
Caring for Tampa's Grand Live Oaks
The live oaks that shade so many Tampa streets are one of the city's best features, and they deserve careful work. Most of the time the right call is not removal but tree trimming and pruning: lifting low limbs over sidewalks, clearing branches off the roof, thinning the crown so wind passes through, and removing deadwood before storm season.
- Live oak and laurel oak: laurel oaks are shorter lived and more prone to decay, so they are often the trees we are called to take down.
- Sabal palms and queen palms: frond and seed pod removal keeps them tidy and safe.
- Camphor and other fast growers: these can crowd fences and foundations and often need to be cut back hard or removed.
Inside city limits, Tampa keeps its own tree protection rules, and big oaks in particular tend to require a permit before they come down. Call the city first; during our visit we will walk you through the paperwork Tampa owners typically face. Under Florida Statute 163.045, a residential owner holding written documentation from an ISA-certified arborist or licensed landscape architect that a tree poses a danger may take it down without that local permit.

Hurricane Prep and Storm Cleanup Around the Bay
Tampa sits right on the bay, and every hurricane season brings the same worries: heavy oak limbs over bedrooms, palms near the pool cage, and trees leaning toward the street. The best time to deal with those is before June. A pre-season inspection and targeted pruning can lower the chance of a limb coming through the roof.
When a storm does hit, we handle tree removal of fallen and hanging trees, then load the logs with our wheel loader and log grapple and haul everything off as part of our debris removal work. Summer lightning strikes are common here too, and a struck oak can die slowly, so it is worth having one looked at even if it still has leaves.
Stumps, Roots and Lot Work Inside City Limits
After a removal, most Tampa homeowners want the yard usable again. Stump grinding takes the stump below grade so you can lay sod or pavers, and root removal helps when oak roots are lifting a driveway or a sidewalk. For builders and investors, we also offer lot clearing on infill parcels and teardown lots across the city.
We work every part of Tampa and the towns around it, including Lutz to the north and Brandon to the east, as far as our 100-mile radius reaches.
