Tree Trimming and Removal for Brandon Homes

Brandon is one of the oldest and largest suburbs east of Tampa, and many of its neighborhoods now have trees that are forty or fifty years old. That maturity brings shade and value, along with limbs over roofs, roots under driveways and the occasional tree that has reached the end of its life.

Mature Canopy in Established Brandon Subdivisions

Drive the side streets off Brandon Boulevard, Lithia Pinecrest Road or Bloomingdale Avenue and you will see big laurel oaks, live oaks and slash pines that were young when the houses went up. Today those trees often stretch over two or three yards at once. The most common job we do in Brandon is trimming and pruning to get branches off the roof and away from the service drop, raise the canopy over the driveway, and remove dead limbs that could fall on a car or a person.

Laurel oaks planted in the same era are now old for their species. When we see hollow trunks, fungus at the base or large dead sections in the crown, we will tell you honestly whether trimming still makes sense or whether tree removal is the safer call.

Roots, Driveways and Pool Decks

In older Brandon yards, roots are as much of a complaint as branches. Oak roots crack driveways, heave pool decks and lift sections of sidewalk that the county or HOA wants repaired. Our root removal work cuts and pulls the problem roots so the concrete can be replaced, and we will point out when cutting too much root would make the tree unstable.

After a removal, stump grinding takes care of what is left. Our grinder reaches below the surface so you can plant, lay sod or install a new fence along the property line.

Busy Roads, Tight Access and How We Handle It

Brandon sits where I-75, the Selmon Expressway and SR-60 meet, so traffic and tight streets are part of every job. We plan around school traffic, park equipment where it will not block neighbors, and use the bucket truck or rope rigging when a tree is between a house, a fence and a power line. Logs and brush are loaded and hauled the same day as part of our debris removal.

FAQ

Brandon Tree Service & Land Clearing FAQ

How often should I trim the oaks in my Brandon yard?

For most mature oaks, a professional pruning every few years is enough, with a quick check after major storms. Trees that hang over the roof or a pool cage may need attention more often.

Can you tell if my laurel oak is dying?

We look for dead limbs in the top of the crown, mushrooms or soft wood at the base, cracks and cavities in the trunk, and thin leaf cover. We will explain what we see during the free estimate so you can decide.

Do you haul away all the wood and brush?

Yes, unless you ask us to leave firewood or mulch. We load logs and brush onto our trailer and leave the work area raked and clean.
