What Clearwater Homeowners Usually Call Us About
Most of our work in Clearwater comes back to a handful of familiar situations:
- A laurel oak or water oak hanging over a pool cage, dropping twigs and leaves onto the screen and into the water.
- Palms that have outgrown the yard, or a sabal whose crown now brushes the roof edge.
- A tree leaning toward the house after a summer downpour softened the ground around it.
- Roots cracking a driveway, lifting pavers on the pool deck or growing into the sewer line.
- An old stump from a past removal that keeps throwing up sprouts.
Each one has a different fix. Some trees only need selective pruning to clear the roof and the screen. Others are past saving and call for a controlled removal.
Working Over Screen Enclosures and Rooftops
A screened enclosure is one of the easiest things to damage during a tree job, and Clearwater has a lot of them. Rather than letting limbs free-fall, we cut from the bucket truck and lower each piece on a line, guiding it away from the aluminum frame before it touches down. On lots where the truck can't get close, a climber does the same work by rope. Wood is bucked into manageable lengths and loaded directly into the dump trailer, so your driveway isn't stacked with logs for days.

Gulf Exposure, Lightning and Storm Cleanup
Clearwater has the Gulf on its west side and Old Tampa Bay to the east, with Clearwater Harbor and the barrier islands in between. That position brings strong wind events, and summer thunderstorms add lightning strikes that can kill a tall pine or oak from the top down. Once the wind dies down, we free structures from fallen trunks, open up blocked driveways and haul away the mess through our debris removal service. Ahead of the season, thinning crowns and taking out deadwood lets wind pass through a canopy instead of catching it like a sail.
Stumps, Roots and Getting the Yard Back
Once a tree is down, stump grinding chips the stump and its main buttress roots under the surface, and the grindings can stay as mulch or leave with us. When roots are heaving a slab or crowding a sewer lateral, we can cut them out through root removal before the plumber or concrete crew shows up. We reach Clearwater from Tampa across the Courtney Campbell Causeway and work just as often in Dunedin and Largo.
