Tree Care and Removal Across Largo, FL

Largo sits in the middle of Pinellas County, and its streets are lined with ranch homes, manufactured-home communities and yards where the trees are now older than the houses. We keep those trees safe, trimmed and out of the way.

Mid-County Homes With Grown-Up Trees

Much of Largo was built out over a few decades of steady growth, and the oaks, camphor trees and slash pines planted or left standing back then are now full size. Neighborhoods off East Bay Drive, Ulmerton Road and Walsingham Road often have a single big tree that shades half the lot, and that one tree is usually what brings people to us. A laurel oak with a split leader, a pine that took a lightning hit, a camphor crowding the roof: these are routine Largo calls.

For trees worth keeping, pruning removes deadwood, reduces weight on long limbs and opens space between the canopy and the house. When a tree has to go, our tree removal crew uses the bucket truck to take it down in pieces.

Manufactured-Home and 55+ Communities

Largo has a large number of mobile and manufactured-home parks, and they come with their own challenges. Homes sit close together, carports and lanai roofs are light, and a single dropped limb can do real damage. In these communities we rig almost every cut, set the truck where management allows and keep the work zone tight so neighbors can still get in and out. We are glad to coordinate with the park office or HOA ahead of time, and to explain what the community usually requires before trees are removed.

Overgrown Fence Lines and Backyard Brush

Back property lines in Largo tend to fill in fast. Brazilian pepper, vines and volunteer trees grow into fences, sheds and screen rooms, and after a few summers you can lose several feet of yard. Our brush clean up service cuts that growth back to the fence, removes it and leaves the line open so you can maintain it yourself. Homes along the Pinellas Trail often have this problem on the trail side, where nobody has trimmed in years.

Finishing the Job: Stumps and Storm Debris

After a removal, stump grinding lets you mow over the spot or plant something new. When a tropical storm or a strong summer squall passes through, we clear limbs from roofs and driveways and handle debris removal so you aren't waiting on curbside pickup. We also work regularly in neighboring Seminole and Pinellas Park.

FAQ

Largo Tree Service & Land Clearing FAQ

Can you work inside my mobile home park in Largo?

Yes. Many parks ask for advance notice or approval before outside contractors come in, so let us know the rules and we will plan around them. We use rigging and the bucket truck to keep limbs off neighboring homes and carports.

Is it better to trim or remove a large camphor tree?

Camphor is not native and spreads by seed, and its roots can crowd foundations and pipes. If it is healthy and well placed, pruning can keep it manageable. If it is close to the house or causing root problems, removal is often the better long-term choice. We will give you an honest opinion during the free estimate.

Does Largo require a permit for tree removal?

Some removals inside city limits need approval, and properties in unincorporated parts of the Largo area fall under Pinellas County. Check with the city or county first; we can explain what is usually needed.
